MALAYALAM
Malayalam (Mountain Region) is one of the classical languages of India is a Southern Dravidian language belonging to the southernmost Indian state -Kerala. The languages can be found in the Vazhapalli inscription dated about 830 AD. Around the 13th century it was written with the Vatteluttu or Vattezhuthu alphabet the meaning of the word meaning 'round writing'.
The Malayalam script is the descendant of the Brahmi script and along with Malayalam it is also used to write languages such as Paniya, Betta Kurumba, and Ravula. The consistant form we see of the script today came into existence around the 19th century.
